Once the most feared robber in Chicago, a man named Al Capone (Tom Hardy) was sent to a cell for tax evasion. At the age of 40, after nearly a decade in prison, Al Capone was released after being deemed no longer a threat, his mind decaying due to neurosyphilis.
Now retiring with his family on Palm island in Florida, Al Capone remains under federal supervision, because they think Al Capone might be pretending to be crazy. Forced to sell many of his possessions to pay off his debt, Al Capone began to hallucinate and lose control of his motor functions.
Al Capone admitted that he hid 10 million dollars, although Al Capone did not remember where it was. After a physical confrontation with his wife named Mae, Al Capone told Al Capone's bodyguards to keep everyone away from him.
Meanwhile, Al Capone has a vision of remorse for the people he killed and also acts of violence that Al Capone committed as a crime boss. His mental capacity continues to deteriorate now, and he also has the mind of a child.
Awakened by guilt, Capone finally died in 1947 when Al Capone was 48 years old. His family replaced Anma and also the money allegedly hidden by Al Capone was never found.
