Peninsula is a sequel or follow-up film from "Train to Busan". The film is played by a familiar superstar actor on the big screen Kang Dong-won who will be a leader named Jung-suk, besides Kang Dong-won is also played by actress and singer Lee Jung-hyun who plays Min Jung a survivor who wishes hard equipped with hope and also leadership without the end.
Then there is the young actress Lee-re who is now growing up and we know her playing in the film Hope, here she plays the role of Joon Yi. Then actor Kwon Hae-yo played Kim Noh-in, the oldest surviving member of Min Jung's crew, while actors Kim Min-jae and Koo Kyo-hwan became part of the team as rescue forces.
The synopsis of the film Peninsula is set 4 years after it happened before the first film Train to Busan where at that time the entire Korean Peninsula has become an uninhabitable desert filled with zombies that have brought down governments throughout the world and South Korea. But a small group of survivors is still trapped and also without certainty of rescue or respite preparing to face zombies.
