The man named Norman (Brenton Thwaites) is a war veteran who returns home to become a policeman. Norman lives with his brother and the famous troublemaker named Ray (Ben Robson). Ray along with the bartender El Camino (Francesca Eastwood) and Abbey (Claire Holt) is a single mother.

Abbey has a sister named Frances (Alycia Debnam-Carey) who has feelings for Norman but cannot express them. After a night of drinking and fighting, Ray ended up in a car with Abbey, unsure of how to deal with a drunk woman playing with a gun.

By the time the shot accidentally exploded, Abbye was dead, leaving Ray in a panic. Ray asked for help from his brother Norman who used his strength to protect his brother.

Meanwhile, the man named Quinn (Ted Levine) is a detective who looks for clues, utilizes his sharp instincts to interview the suspects and deals with Norman who tries to maintain his hiding while Ray, who is faced with great guilt, begins to feel the weight of his guilt.
